Amplify Leadership Summit presented by First Work: Ontario's Youth Employment Network is Ontario's premier gathering of those challenging, disrupting, driving and shaping workforce development across the Province.
The 2 half-days of inspiring and thought-provoking conversation attracts hundreds of government, industry and sector leaders, professionals, educators, funders and researchers. Together, we will explore new challenges and opportunities to advance workforce development in Ontario.
Though our new virtual reality will not make up for the time we spend in person, this year’s leadership summit is designed to maximize engagement with your colleagues across the province. First Work will be releasing the Summit’s schedule and speakers over the coming weeks
Day 1 | April 12th | 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
The first day of Amplify will be highly engaging, utilizing the virtual platform to collaborate in real-time for sector-based workforce solutions through Workshops and facilitated Networking Collaboratives.
Rocky Ozaki, NoW of Work Founder, will be delivering a keynote address on the attributes of the modern (resilient) organization and what leading practices will help them thrive in an increasingly uncertain future.
Following the keynote, get ready to engage with your colleagues through our Community Workshops + Networking Collaboratives. A hack-a-thon, a design jam, an advocacy workshop and more to get you collaborating for workforce solutions.
Day 2 | April 14th | 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Following the 1-day break to shake off any Zoom fatigue, Amplify will host sessions in two blocks, with additional opportunity for networking collaboration.
Block 1 will host discussions on the impacts of accelerated digitization, how to best serve jobseekers in the new-virtual-normal, and how to create opportunities for collaboration in the trades.
Block 2 will feature MAGNET’s thought process behind their digital platform being used in pilot catchment areas, as well as an important session on leadership & wellness.
Closing ceremonies will feature insights from the hack-a-thon, the design jam and the advocacy workshop, as well as a discussion on how to best engage youth during pandemic.
