ODEN’s Employment Discovery Toolkit Training is designed for direct support professionals, personal support workers, family members, students or anyone who plays a role in a person’s support network.
This training is appropriate for transition coordinators, family home and respite workers, supported living/residential staff, community participation support staff, DSW and PSW students.

- Participants will learn about the employability of the people they support who have a disability, how to take an employment first approach and why employment is considered the gold standard for inclusion.
- The Do’s and Don’ts of employment support and how you can have an impact on people’s employment goals.
- How to support employment goals and get to know people using employment discovery tools to create an employment profile.

This is an online, interactive session facilitated by an ODEN Diversity and Inclusion Specialist. Sessions are kept to a maximum of 12 people to encourage active participation. Participants will have opportunities to interact, contribute to group exercises and discussions throughout this live session.
