Come and learn about the rewards of working, early planning and what families can do to ensure success!
This event is intended for all family and caregivers of children with Down syndrome. We encourage all families to attend regardless of how "young" your child is - a mind set of high expectations needs to start very, very early.
ODEN’s family presentation includes examples of the concept of establishing age appropriate chores, after school jobs, co-ops in non-segregated settings, and starting career planning at a young age, all critical to creating a mindset that leads to successful attachment to the labour force.
Childcare is NOT provided but if this is a barrier for any family, please let us know so that we may problem-solve together a solution. Light refreshments will be served.
RSVP by Monday, June 3rd so that we can take care of logistics.
