This is an event for teens and adults with Down syndrome only - facilitated by members of the Board of Directors of the Down Syndrome Association of Hamilton (DSAH).
DSAH, in collaboration with the Ontario Disability Employment Network, want to hear from self-advocates in our community about their dreams, passions, questions and concerns around employment as part of their future.
This session will be an open discussion for teens and adults around what is required to find and maintain a job. The steps they need to take to ensure they build on the skills employers are looking for and what supports are available in the community to help them build those skills.
DSAH will be inviting self-advocates who have worked in the past so that they can provide their experience to the participants.
Everyone is welcome to attend. The material will be presented in an accessible format.
Light refreshments will be served.
