Come and learn about the important role that YOU play in the lives of young people with Down syndrome as educators, practitioners and community service providers who can support their dreams and desires for employment.
Learn strategies to prepare young people for the world of work. Learn about programs and curriculum available to foster the skills employers are looking for in any young person entering the workforce. And leave feeling empowered to better support the families you work with to believe that paid employment is a viable option for their child with Down syndrome.
This event is intended for any educator and community service provider working with families with children Down syndrome. We encourage educators and service providers to attend regardless of how "young" their clients are- a mind set of high expectations needs to start very, very early.
Light refreshments will be served.
RSVP By Monday, June 17th.
